A lifetime Northwesterner, Doug Purcell attended undergraduate school at the University of Washington and was admitted to the Washington bar in 1973 after graduating cum laude from Harvard Law School.

After 15 years as an associate and partner in the Seattle law firm now known as Davis Wright Tremaine, Doug moved his practice to Snohomish County in 1989. His primary areas of practice include business formation and counseling services, a wide variety of real estate services, estate planning, probate, commercial litigation and mediation services.

Doug has been very active in the community serving for years as the emcee of the Edmonds Fourth of July fireworks, former president of the Edmonds Rotary Club and is currently a member of the Edmonds Waterfront Center Board and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Economic Alliance Snohomish County.

Paula has been a “hands-on” bookkeeper and working with Doug Purcell for more than 30 years. Most of that time, she has handled many administrative duties of a small law firm and the bookkeeping.

Paula has always been the go-to person for whatever project needed to get off the ground or that last push to completion.  Her consistent good sense and vitality have been a great resource to all who work with her. Paula is currently both the firm administrator and heads up Armstrong Accounting & Bookkeeping, LLC, a small bookkeeping firm which provides business accounting services to the firm and clients of Purcell Legal, as well as many others in the community.

Paula and her retired attorney husband live in Brier where they enjoy spending time with a large extended family. Paula also loves to read, go for long walks, travel, and go to the movies.
